Recently, Amazon announced a new update of its music streaming service to all its music lovers. And you can get Amazon Music HD with the best quality audio streaming free of charge for a limited time. The 90-day trial for new users saves you $45 against monthly payment for this time, so that you can try it yourself, without having to spend a cent. You can keep subscribing at $14.99 a month (or $12.99 if you have Amazon Prime). Otherwise, you can cancel at any time, so there’s no risk.
Amazon’s HD offering claims to double the bitrate of regular streaming services, with millions of tracks up to 10x bitrate. The HD audio is lossless with a bitrate of up to 850 kbps as opposed to 320 kbps on non-HD services. With Ultra HD tracks, you’ll get bitrates up to 3,730 kbps.
The service is good enough that Amazon often recommends modern devices for listening to it. You’ll want to listen to your new music for example at speeds of 1.5 Mbps or higher (that means at least you want to be on LTE if not a strong Wi-Fi network). You want a mobile device with headphones that support 16-bit/44.1 kHz. This isn’t that extreme because the first iPhone that the iPhone 5S was helping, so hopefully you’re all right with your phone. Even with the Amazon Echo Studio and other high-end speaker systems, Amazon Music HD is really good.
You can take advantage of the same free 90-day Amazon Music HD trials here if you are in the UK.
