Latest iPad Air Gets $50 Price Cut On Amazon For The First Time

Apple’s recently announced 10.5-inch iPad Air now starts at $449.99  on Amazon right now. That price applies to the 64 GB model and saves you $49 off the retail price in all three available colors. You can also save in silver or space gray on the 64 GB cellular device with the same discount on cellular-enabled models— the lowest they’ve ever been. You can also save up to $50 on 256 GB models if you want to increase the capacity.

Announced in March, this update boost the screen size of the newest iPad Air to 10.5 inches. It also gains the A12 Bionic system-on-a-chip for a performance boost of 70% and twice its 9.7-inch predecessor’s graphics capability. Apple’s True Tone technology is also supported by the display for color accuracy in all ambient light settings. Like the previous-gen 10.5-inch iPad Pro ($200 OFF), the new iPad Air uses the device’s Smart Connector on the edge to support the Smart Keyboard and also maintains compatibility with the Apple Pencil first-generation.

It’s pretty rare for such a new Apple product to receive such a direct discount, and since the discounts match a limited-time Best Buy sale, we also expect that they will not hang around at Amazon for a long time.
