“Best iPhone 12 Wall Charger Adapters”, this is probably what you searched for if you have just pre-ordered the new iPhone 12. Apple has always been equipped with a wall charger adapter, a USB cable, and EarPod. However, the latest iPhone 12 line-Up like iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which Apple has announced does not include a power adapter or headphones in the box — just a USB-C-to-Light cable that offers the highest charging speeds when you pair it with the right charger.
Now, Apple has just launched a new 20-watt USB-C power adapter at $19, $10 cheaper than its overpriced USB-C 18-watt power adapter. But many attractive alternatives are still available for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, & iPhone 12 Pro model. We have put together some of our favorite chargers, many available for fewer than $20, and some even for less than $10 to boost your battery life. Before we start a few fast ground rules:
- You will need a USB-C port charger, or you will need a USB-A-to-USB-C adapter. You could also get a new charger at the prices below.
- Two ports are often better than one so that you can charge 2 handsets at a time, or phone and wireless accessories.
- Usually, USB-C or PD chargers (power delivery) can charge devices faster than USB-A chargers.
- Higher wattage is even better. However, you can charge tablets and even a Nintendo switch by getting 18 watts or better. Get 65 or more watts and most new laptops can also be loaded.
- Many new chargers are using a material called gallium nitride (or GaN), which can be produced in much smaller dimensions using high-power adapters.
- An Android phone may also be juice-boxed by any charger (as long as a compatible USB cable is supplied).
While many charging brands are available, we can broadly recommend three brands: Anker, Aukey, and RAVPower. The three offer similar products at the same wattage, with almost daily fluctuations in prices. There is some power bank (battery), wireless, charging stand, and car options below. Over the last few months, we have all used them (or their direct predecessors).
Although we didn’t test these models on the iPhone 12 specifically, they should all work on the basis of our experience with previous iPhone models. In our search for the absolute best iPhone charger, we will update this regularly.
The Best iPhone 12 Wall Charger Adapters 2020
WIRED iPhone 12 Adapters
RAVPower 30W 2-Port USB-C Fast Charger (with USB-A)
The best deal you could argue about is this 30watt dual-port charger or the below Aukey. The Aukey has a slightly more attractive design, but otherwise, it is very similar and it would be the best wall charger for iPhone 12 or below. The USB-C port provides the complete 30 watts of juice when used alone and the full 18 watts when charging a second device via the 12 watts USB-A port. This is currently under $16 at Amazon.
Aukey 18W PD Charger
Just searching for a compact fast charger with single-port? The Aukey 18-watt PD iPhone 12 charger can be bought for up to $9 (black) and can be folded. For some reason, in white, it’s a little more.
Aukey Omnia 65W Dual Port
Not only can your iPhone be charged at maximum speed this compact 65- watt USB-C charger also charges most USB-C charging laptops. A second device can also be charged via the USB-A port.
Aukey Omnia 100W
Whilst the 100-Watt USB-C PD Charger has been designed to load bigger laptops such as MacBook Pro 16-inch, all laptops that charge through USB-C and smartphones and tablets will be charged as much as possible at their maximum charge rates (the charging output for that devices is automatically adjusted). Most laptops should be charged in two or fewer hours.
The 96-watt USB-C charge of Apple costs $79 so this Aukey has a price of about half as well as considerably reduced.
Apple 18W USB-C Power Adapter
Apple recommends this charge for iPad Pro, iPhone 8 and later and all are supported by fast charging; however Apple hasn’t provided a fast charger for iPad Pro, iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, X, XR, or non-pro iPhone 11. And now for the iPhone 12, it does not even include a 5W adapter.
But it makes a worthwhile investment if you’re a heavy iPhone user. The difference between the 18W charger and the old 5W is dramatic: the first can get approximately 50% of the charge in about half an hour from flat, but this lasts takes about six hours.
Anker 30W PowerPort Atom III Slim USB-C Charger
The 30-watt slender Anker iPhone 12 adapter is pocket-friendly and can quickly load your iPhone using a USB-C-to-Light cable.
The dual-type Satechi 75W PD Travel Charger is the ultimate travel partner for your iPhone 12 and USB-C devices. Can supply 60W to quickly charge an iPad Pro or MacBook Pro on one USB C port, and 18 W to quickly load your iPhone from the second USB C port.
This adapter also contains two USB-A ports for up to four single adapter charging devices. It connects to the wall outlet via cable, meaning that you are closer to USB ports.
The 75W Dual Type-C Travel Charger is $69.99 on the website of Amazon.
Belkin USB-PD GaN Charger 68W
Belkin has a USB-C GaN charger that can charge your iPhone 12 18W quickly while charging your MacBook Pro and iPad Pro at 60W. Gallium nitrate charging power means you get all the power of a bigger charger in a more compact design.
When two devices are connected at the same time, this USB-C GaN charger maximizes 68W. It intelligently transfers power to safe and efficient charging devices.
These above-mentioned are the best iPhone 12 wall charger adapter would definitely best for you to buy.
WIRELESS iPhone 12 Charger
RAVPower Fast Wireless Charger
No, this isn’t a fancy new charger from MagSafe — but it doesn’t cost $60. This RAVPower charging pad is good because it’s relatively low cost and features an adapter that provides you with a faster 10-watt wireless charge (some of the top speed is 7.5 watts, and there is no power adjustment available with lots of cheap wireless charging pads). $20 at Amazon.
Mophie 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad
Where do you come with Apple’s AirPower Wireless Charge Pad DOA when you do not just want to charge your AirPods and Apple Watch, but also your iPhone? Mophie has the answer, and although it’s difficult to afford it’s compact, elegant, easy to clean, and especially handy for commuters and travelers.
The Apple Watch connector is mounted at an angle that is ideal for bedside mode and the AirPods charge point does not obscure your view from the face of your Apple Watch. It chucks 7.5 W of power on your iPhone and works through cases up to 3mms.
Unlike standard wireless charging pads, you don’t need to buy or supply a separate wall charger.
Anker PowerWave Fast Wireless Charging Pad
Wireless chargers do not work the same for iPhones as for Android devices, just as with wired fast chargers.
A typical 10w wireless charger, for example, will supply Android with this power but will fall to 7.5W or even 5W for an iPhone. Apple does support 15W wireless charges at the moment: it initially supported 5W and upgraded to 7.5W.
This Anker wireless charger provides up to 10W for the newest iPhones with the current iPhone, but it is important to note that that is only possible if it is connected to a Quick Charge 3.0 wall charger. Otherwise, it’s not drawing sufficient power.
Aukey Wireless Power Bank with 18W PD
Wired and wireless charging options are available in this Aukey Power Bank. You can charge 18 watts if you use the USB-C port. Put your phone on the battery wirelessly and charge wirelessly at 10 watts, which is currently the maximum iPhone for wireless charging. You pay a premium, but the unit has a large (20 000 mAh) battery, an integrated kickstand, and a digital reader with the rest of the charge. It is supplied with a USB-A to USB-C cable, but a charging adaptor must be supplied.
Best iPhone 12 Charger For Car
Anker Power Drive PD 2-port Type C Car Charger
Many car chargers provide a small amount of power, and this is a problem whether you want to charge something hungry like an iPad or recharge a flat iPhone in a hurry.
Anker’s Power Drive PD resolves the problem: it’s a 30-W charger with a quick USB-C port and a USB-A port for older devices and devices that can’t be charged quickly.
You can load your iPad while you’re charging your iPhone or just reload something big like your laptop. It’s also small, so the dashboard won’t dominate, as other multi-socket chargers do.
Aukey USB-C 21W Car Charger with Power Delivery 3.0
I purchased and love this charger a lot. It is not only able to charge fast, but it has a low profile so it sits flush with a 12-volt port. Both USB-C and USB-A ports are available to charge.
It lists approximately $15 but you can get it for $10 today. Buy now!
Which one should you choose? Wired Charging or Wireless Charging?
It’s not so quick, but wireless is more convenient. The majority of wireless iPhone chargers deliver up to 15W.
Most standalone charging pads expect the actual charger brick to be supplied, and you won’t be able to supply more power than you put in – even though an iPhone wireless charging pad can deliver 15W, that’s not possible when you plug it on a charger that only provides 5W.
Which iPhone 12 Charger is suitable for you?
Just don’t look at the price. Look now at what you want to do and what you could do next year. For instance, an 18W charger can charge your iPhone quickly, but it is not powerful enough to operate a MacBook Pro; it can be more powerful for your future tech arsenal.
Even if you need it right now, it is also prudent to go for USB-C: that’s where it is going so that USB-C is future-proof and backward-compatible. Just remember that we want USB-C to plug into the charger and the other end of the cable to be connected to the iPhone with Lightning.
These are our favorite and best iPhone 12 Wall Charger Adapters, and iPhone wireless charging pads. Three key criteria were chosen for us: quality, value for money, and usefulness. Regardless of whether you are a road warrior or a box binger, these chargers, cables, and pads are the most effective way to keep your iPhone powered.
